South Africa

Today we arrived in the beautiful town of Cape Town after what will be a long and memorable plane flight. We were the only Americans on a plane full of drunk Englishmen who were quick to point out all of our flaws and lack of footballing talent. This was not surprising though and after a few hours and a few beers they began to like us more and more. By the end they were wishing us luck on our travels and also in our games. The feeling in the airport was incredible. Everybody had a vuvuzela horn and were blowing it loud and proud. You can tell that the people here are ready to get down to action. This afternoon we are going to walk what is called the parade walk to the stadium to look at shops and take in the atmosphere. Our first game is tomorrow night between France and Uruguay and we are ecstatic. I will post again soon.
